Read HERE about LIEBEration 175, a queer Holocaust history performance art and photography project. Each day, we present the next (at random) of LIEBEration 175 images.
Everyday Giada & I took the S-Bahn to Oranienburg Bahnhof to engage the Sachsenhausen space and narrative. Riding the train was a natural and simple part of our experience. And so was it for millions of Nazi victims displaced during WWII. Pink triangle prisoners from all over Eastern Europe arrived here by rail… Albeit under entirely different circumstances… Today, as I was preparing this posting, I realized that rail-train imagery had found its way into the LIEBEration poem I had written at Sachsenhausen. No wonder. May the trains of your choice be always ontime.
