LIEBEration 175: Send a Postcard

Read here about LIEBEration 175, a queer Holocaust history performance art and photography project. Each day, we present the next (at random) of LIEBEration 175 images.

This often trivialized act taps into a rather complex framework of human interactions. Postcards chronicle our worldly trajectories and connect us to special people we wish to share this journey with. This action image documents me in the Sachsenhausen museum’s cafeteria writing to Brian Wilson, our very first Kickstarter supporter. A small individual token of gratitude for a grand collective experience. And if you follow Brian on Twitter you will know that he really is @theNiceBrian 🙂

Through a series of seemingly unrelated events, about fifty signed thank you postcards  ended up on an NYC-bound flight in a carry-on bag of a friend who then took care to send them out around the world with just the right stamps! Thank you, Polina! Love blossoms always.
